Columbus Sailed the Ocean Blue

Saturday, we went and visited the traveling Nina and Pinta replicas. They are supposedly built to scale and one (the little one) was made with old fashioned tools and all too. There was a lifeboat of sorts on one that was handmade by a 14 year old kid! Apparently the crew on these travel all around the USA. They even sleep in the same area of the boat that Colubus' crew did. We weren't allowed down there, but could peep down through the hole and it made me clausterphobic just thinking about it!

Micah thought it was really cool and was really into the whole experience even though he eventually ended up a bit seasick. The girls like the "pirate" ships, but weren't really into the history part like Micah was. Although, it was not Micah that had the best time on these boats. It was my husband! This is him doing his piratey "ARG" in the picture.
